The exitbes, cattle have nothing to do with the Afrikaans word -bees for horn cattleǃ According to the team of Koes, the first component is like Nama Ikhoro- = 'Limestein' (Rust 1960 DNW 34), according to Mr Viljoen, it is like Nama Goro, in Old Cape also Korro, and means five. afr Die huidige spelling van die naam van plaas nr 65 in die distrik van Keetmanshoop, suidoostelik van die dorp geleë, is 'Khorrobees'.
