If we notice that Fenchel writes Gaudas (our Gautas) without sucking consciousness while doing itǃ Gau-Texts do, then it seems for the time being or Arndt.

Dit gaan hier oor Gautas, plaas nr 61, suidoos van Keetmanshoop. Die spruit Damakoes loop deur hom om aan die suidekant verenig te raak met lowenrivier. Die verklarings loop uiteen. Mnr Arndt sien in die eerste lid Nama xau- = uitwerpsel, excreta, mnr Apriels ǃgau = 'zu Boden werfen' (Rust 1960 DNW 73) of 'omgooi', maar die singewing is nie sonder meer duidelik nie. As ons merk dat Fenchel Gaudas (ons Gautas) sonder suigkonso- nant skryf terwyl hy dit by ǃGau-tawes wel doen, dan lyk dit voorlopig of Arndt gelyk kan he.
