The Afrikaans common name trans (also: trasiebos) is used here for the Acacia Hebeclada (Smith 1966 CNSAP 567), in Nama it is known as the GHO forest (also preserved in the town name Gochas). The -ga- is like Nama -Xa- = much, abundant, viz. to many transies. The ml. EKV. Genustry -B is probably here for a sprout or walk from the Lowen River on the farm, or for a local segment of the river.
