No indication except that the name must be relatively old (in early addressiocine) and that the spelling manage reminds of Nama, develarized form of the loan wordǃ Kare (b) from Khoekhoen, in Afrikaans KareeBoom, Rhus Lancea, also heard as Krieboom . In Old Cape dialects of Khoekhoen, it still has the (ǃ) K-, cf. HOTT 331-2. Here it is the name of farm Are No 131, Dist. Keetmanshoop, and from the river walking through the farm. The trees had to stand there.
