ǃHûǂās

According to the grade square, place of farm 'Stamriet' No. 38, east of Keetmanshoop on their way to Aroab and Rietfontein, and not of the Dorpe Pie Stamriet, looking at Aams. The farm name is a direct processing from Khoekhens (the suction patch at the vocabulary for the second member is writing error). The syllabinal split is on- and -axes (not O-NAS), with ╪as like at Hahn, 'Rietdans', and theǃ On- for the 'bump' with the right foot to give the dance partner, correlate it with Namaǃ (H) U = 'Stampfen' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 202), ie The -n- is the realization of which is currently the preceding nasaled vowel -. The old inland name for this place is no longer preserved than farm name except then here in his English translation, m.a.w. indirectly. There are still other places called 'Stampriet' in South West Africa, so farm No. 270, Dist. Gobabis, also No 108 in District Keetmanshoop named 'Stamp River'. We can no longer prove that they are also translations, but are laid on the big role that the kind of dance played in the life of the relaxing Khoekhoen, we have a strong suspicion that they are also translations.
