Gusib, Kusib

The coastalist, Gusib, Kusib is, as we read it on poor cards, a tributary of the Gurib, cf. there to Gurib (river). Alexander declares Gusis as 'near (ginge)', which joins Nama ǀ Guse = 'Nahbei' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 139), with exit, however, usually (Masc. Sing. . The river runs south on the eastern side of Bethanine. The long quote wanted to help it.

afr Die Kusis, Gusib, Kusib is, soos ons dit lees op swak kaarte, ’n sytak van die Gurib, vgl. aldaar GURIB(RIVIER). Alexander verklaar Gusis as 'Naby(lig- gende)', wat aansluit by Nama ǀguse = 'nahbei' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 139), met uitgang egter gewoonlik (masc. sing.) -b, hier vir rivier. Die rivier loop suidwaarts aan die oostelike kant van Bethanien verby. Die lang aanhaling wou help om dit te situeer.
