Kapt. Sinclair het die sendelinge baie ergernis veroorsaak, o.a. oor sy drankhandel met die Namas en sy slegte invloed op Dawid Christian. Ons het die naam van sy woonplek goed weergegee gekry, met slag en nasali- teit, maar is tog nog onseker oor die presiese verklaring. Miskien soos =Tgui- wat mnr Krenz ken as 'n 'wildepruim of dadel. almal is lief daar- voor' (kyk GUIAB 1916/17 in TH A* 474), met die fem. sing, -s wat soms kan se dat dit ’n fontein is. Daar is ook ander moontlikhede.
