Dit is die naam van plaas nr 34, soms (vroeër) gespel Naiseb, en van ’n motorbushalte daarop, gespel Neisib, en wel kragtens ’n afleiding wat geen steun van die ander segsliede gekry het nie. Vedder kies tot grondslag die woord met ’n palatale, die ander met ’n serebrale suigkonsonant, d.w.s. hulle kies nie die woord vir 'tortelduiF’ nie, maar vir 'kameelperd' ('kameel' by Swartbooi).
