Hier gaan dit oor plaas nr 237 noordwes van Aroab of suidoos van Koes, distrik Keetmanshoop. Dit is hier pannetjieswêreld. Die ou spellings is nader aan die huidige woord vir rooi, nl. aan Nama ǀawa. Eers later is die plaasnaam gespel Averas, maar in die Adressbuch van 1911 verskyn die tussenvorm 'Aweras'. Waarskynlik het dieselfde gebeur met AVERAS 2719.
