Ons kry so die benaderde datum van verkoop en verneem die korrekte uitspraak van die tongslag vir die plaas wat geregistreer is as Nabaos nr 7, noordelik van Keetmanshoop, en ong. 55 km van Berseba af waar die kaptein gewoon het. Nabaos (soos ander plase) le 'darem oor- kant die Visrivier' van Berseba afǃ +Nawa = 'Aushohlung (Bassin) im Felsen...' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 287), so ongeveer 'Bankfontein', is patroon- matig, maar ons segsliede soek die verband anders, nl. met Tnawa = '(den Vorschurz) zwischen den Beinen durchziehen' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 287), plus die ontkenningspartikel -o- (vroeër geskryf -6-) wat beteken 'sonder' of -loos, so ongeveer 'Sonder om die deurtrekker vas te bind', of 'Deurtrekkerloos', 'Onbedek'. ǀǀNawa het baie dieselfde betekenis as + nawa, kyk Kr.-R. 277. Ons merk nog op dat hierdie Nabaos op die Kriegskarte 1904 ingeskryf is as 'Kl(ein) Nubaos'.
