A word that is also appropriate to the other farm names in the northern Gordonia district and who goes out on -qua to a color name (cf. Oa Abaqua, Uripqua and Nuquap.) It's Namaǃ Goa = 'The Schlucht, Einsenkung '(Kr.-r. 1969 NW 125), at Mr Mouton' cavity ', which is good, in Afrikaans names is it' .. 28), which occurs in numerous place names with a vertebrate Anlaut as Cam- or Cam (cf. afr Op die Topo-kadastrale reeks 1967 vel 2620 Witdraai is die plaas nr 456/1918 ingeskryf as 'Kamqua', en daarop le 'Kamkwapan'. ABAQUA in hierdie deel.Abaqua is ongeveer 'Rooikolk', Uripqua is 'Witkolk', Nuquap is 'Swartkolk', en so meen ons is Kamqua gewoonweg 'Groenkolk', by Nama ǃam = 'grim' (Rust 1960 DNW 28), wat in talle plekname met ’n velere anlaut voorkom as Kam- of Cam- (vgl. KAMDEBO). 'Groenkolk'.
