For us a strange case. Striking that we do not find the old and the possible new name on other cards, not even on scale 1:50 000. Kreenley actually tells about Gulbrandalen, the mission station that HC Knudsen founded in 1843 and nominated to a region in his own father-country (Norway) to which the area reminded him. As if casually, the tributary is called Tsoakobas, which flows here at Gulbrandsdalen (now a forgotten name) in the camel River (orǃ Neiǃ Honi). Descending on the data we can translate the ingredients as follows: Nama Tsoa- = 'Nether', and Ikhowa, perhaps atǃ Kho = 'Fassen, Fangen, Greifen' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 384 and 245 Resp. ), So about 'where he was grabbed to his rear'?
