ǀNamdeb

The older cards give the name as Namtob / top that alternates with Namtib. In the form Namtib comes this same place together with the southern neighbor which it is now united to one farm, look at Kiima- SISNAMTIB, also about the location. Here it just applies the meaning. It is 'rush (S) place'. Falzen, Flatten (Binsen -) In the return of the Krikriekarte, cf. further th a * 46 (5 d 6). ǀ NamTeb, Namtib, Hamtip and Namtop / -b are all forms of Nama ǀ Nam- = rushes (for matjies), plus - to / ti / To- as locative morphus plus -b (-p), ml. Ekv., as index of the long biansite itself. The rushes appear at the open water where Bushmen stayed (cf. the communication of Mr Kessler SV Koumasis).

KOUMASIS).
