They are on my way from Beersba to Hoachanas and have Gawi-Ais already a day trip, they are therefore somewhere in the block 2518. The distraction given by Kreen Self is clear, viz. Nama Dao- = road, 'Road', and ǀ Ui- = stone, 'Stein', so at the 'road clip'. It seems the name no longer exists, at least not as farm name. In 1870 quelles 13,579, Krenley spells the name 'Dao - ǀ Uis'.

Hulle is op pad van Berseba na Hoachanas en het Gawi-ais reeds 'n dagreis agter die rug, hulle is dus erens in die blok 2518. Die afleiding soos deur Kroenlein self gegee, is duidelik, nl. Nama dao- = pad, 'Weg', en ǀui- = klip, 'Stein', dus by die 'Padklip'. Dit lyk of die naam nie meer bestaan nie, altans nie as plaasnaam nie. In 1870 Quellen 13 579 spel Kroenlein die naam 'Dao-ǀuis'.
