Khachatsus, which, in turn, was pushed by the Bible name Gibeon, given by the Rhenish Missionary Society, which established a station in 1863 to serve the Witbooisstam. afr IGoregu is die mv. van ǃgore-b. Die res is hierbo gegee. Die plek het ’n veelbewoe geskiedenis gehad en weens die oorloe onder die inboorlinge het ’n nuwe naam opgekom, nl. KHACHATSUS, wat op sy beurt deur die Bybelnaam Gibeon verdring is, gegee deur die Rynse Sendinggenootskap wat in 1863 daar ’n stasie gestig het om die Witbooisstam te bedien. Die stasie het dan minstens drie name gehad; die oudste kan ons vertaal as 'Sebrasuiping'. 'Khaxatsus word vandag nog algemeen onder Naman gebruik' se mnr Haacke 1976 Asst. Onderwysbeplanner in ’n opmerking hierby.
