Die koördinate korreleer presies met die huidige plaas Achterfontein I nr 59, d.w.s. die inlandse naam leef vertaald voort as Achterfontein I, ook II nr 60, ruweg tussen Gibeon en Berseba, dist. Mariental. Waar dit hier vertaal is, leef dit darem hoerop, nl. op S 2417 DC, onvertaal in die vorm GANAUS, alwaar, ook vir taalkundige opmerkings. Die beginpunt was duidelik die bron, aangedui met die kenmerkende lokativerende fern, -s, en t.o.v. ligging verder 'agter' as die nabygeleë fontein(e).
