This art is a source to the Wapad running from the southwest to Gibeon, and just south of Kaitzub le. The -s of Kun-S indicate that the name may be involved in a fountain. The name apparently means 'Soilfontein', D.W.S. If the Afrikaans name standing in brackets follows the usual pattern and translates the inland name. We may seek a connection withǃ Hu- = 'Erdgrund' (Kr.- Th * 5 c 3 on p. 45. We still notice that the name apparently did not stay.

Hierdie Kuns is ’n bron aan die wapad wat uit die suidweste oploop na Gibeon, en net suid van Kaitzub le. Die -s van Kun-s dui aan dat die naam miskien op ’n fontein Betrek kan wees. Die naam beteken blykbaar 'Grondfontein', d.w.s. indien die Afrikaanse naam wat tussen hakies staan, die gewone patroon volg en die inlandse naam vertaal. Ons kan miskien ’n verband soek met ǃhu- = 'Erdgrund' (Kr.-R. 202.) Dan het ons weer die geval van ’n wisseling k x h wat nie ongewoon is nie - vgl. TH * 5 C 3 op bl. 45. Ons merk nog op dat die naam blykbaar nie bewaar gebly het nie.
