Aubes

It is about the meaning of Aubes, farm No 157, located at the Auob, now in Dist. Mariental, on S 2518 bb. We believe that the correct statement is the one listed as an alternative name by sprigade motisel, viz. 'Blutplatz', in connection with Nama ǀ AOB = 'tie blut' (with midden show), and not in connection with Nama = 'Bitter' (Spelling Kroenley), such as Jew and Leopert, all from later date. These probability statements are all pattern possibilities, and understandable. Also the efforts of Berger and Kotze go out of a ǀ au = source, although indirectly. The --bes is spot-noodly suffix, in the translation the 'platz', 'blood farm'. The reason for the name was lost, as far as we know.
