Die naam vir plaas Gorab nr 85 is reeds bespreek in TH A* 450-1 waar ’n ander verklaring aan ons voorgehou is, ’n verklaring wat ook uitgaan van die woord met dieselfde suigklap, die serebrale. Daar is IGorab vertaal met 'Kaalbult' (die ml. ekv. -b steun die gedagte aan 'n bult), hier word dit oorgesit in 'Swartkraai(plek)'; sonder die klap (nl. as gora-b) is die grondwoord dan 'witkraai', wat hier vir die verklaring nie inpas nie, volgens mededelings.
