This village on the banks of the Auob, 64 km southeast of Stampriet in the Dist. Gibeon, has his name of theǃ Go forest, d.i. Ghobos, the Acacia Hebeclada, according to Smith 1966 cnsap 227, or the A. Stolonifera, according to which 1957 3 243; cfg. Ponnighaus 1931 Journal 6 13. The transie, trassiebos is the national name of the A. Hebeclada (Smith 1966 CNSAP 468). Theǃ Go- is the hybrid camel thorn tree (Krenz 1974).
