The name comes very much in the old travel reports. It was an important expansion to a source along the highway, characterized by the single camel thorn tree (Acacia giraffe), it couldn't miss them. The name was replaced by Marienthal (note the -thal), Farm No 86, on S 2418 CA, and Le east of the town of Mariental and just west of the well-known Rietmond No. 118. Like Nama ǀ Gui = one, and ǀǀ Gana- = camel thorn tree, with placing exit -bi - followed by -s of the Fern, for source names, vaginally valued.
