This is the name of Farm No. 164, Dist. Maltahöhe, northern town. The lizard, and the black, becomes in Kr.-r. 1969 NW 302 in Nama as = Bnowos, next to it = Knowo- ǀ AUB. There is still phonetic ability to strike. That -b- (goa-top) and -w- (no-wo) vary, is lived (cf. th a * 5 b 1 43), less simply but still consistent is the change-g- of g-oa- and -n-in + No (W) -. Foundation is then Nama ╪nowos- OAB, leaning on Sergeant Folscher for the meaning and form with the slot member -oab = child.

BSWA Series 1910 Blatt 20 Maltahöhe 'F (poor) goabosoab' and on later maps. Folscher BHT 1978 Sergeant Letter 'The meaning of the farm goabosoab is:' Lizard's child '. The name was given by the hybrids to the farm. In Nama, however, the name is spelled differently: ╪Nowob-6AB, which then has the same meaning '.
