Probably the 'hot stomach', but the singing is no longer clear to us. [One can take 'stomach' here as pan; the SWA series 1968 Skin 2418 Aranos describes the field here several times as ' pannetjiesveld. 'the warmth of the stomach. could be the heat of the pans, with or without water, in which case we again have the humanisation of nature phenomena, eg., as in the panname ONAB or' Crooked belly ', or KONNES or 'bowel' etc.]

Dit is dieselfde plek wat ons onder die spelling GAMCHANAS by Swart- modder behandel het, d.w.s. daar met die infiks -cha- of -xa-, en met die slotdeel as -s, terwyl dit hier die ml. ekv. -b is. Waarskynlik die 'Warm- maag', maar die singewing is vir ons nie meer duidelik nie. [’n Mens kan 'maag' hier opvat as pan; die SWA-reeks 1968 vel 2418 Aranos beskryf die veld hier ’n paar keer as 'pannetjiesveld'.
