Tseis

In 1973 Mr Keet still gives the same statement as in 1947 to the PNC. We also do not understand the good grounds for Dr. Vedder's distraction; As he motivates, one is looking for more than just a statement that apparently relies on nothing more than an attempt to give sense to the sound image. We believe this also applies from Mr Krenz's tentative proposal. Then it would have been better not to change the old spelling. After all, everything depends on the air. This Tsais is explained in part such as Tses, Alw. It's about Farm No. 6, spelled Zais on the farm lists and on the map of the Surveyor General 1972. The name has not yet been declared satisfactory.

eng PNK 1947 'Tsais', to the Tsondabrivier, Le south of Abbabis, is old name of the farm. According to farm owner's information, JGR keet, Tsais means 'the day'. 'Two Hottentotstamme Jan Jonker Afrikaner and Paul Visser had a great battle here (old hedges are still visible). When the battle was settled, it was 'the day', D.I. 'Tsais'. The fountain was occupied by the victor of Jan Jonker. The fountain is on Tsais's ground '. ǀ To prevent confusion with TSEA for the railway bus stop on the farm suggested the addition Kaubas = fountain, thus Tsais Kaubas = Tsaisfon- tein. This is referred to Dr H Vedder who is as follows and on the basis of which the named name is determined as TSEs Goabas (cf. also APN 1951 335):] 'Tsais, Auf der Südlichen, Links Leather Des Tsondab Riviers, Must Nach der Ublichen Namarchtschreibung Tseis Beschrie- Ben Werd ... Es is Also Mit Dem Satz Zu Um- Schreiben: 'Ort, Mit Dem Man Nichts Mehr Zu Tun Haben Will'. ' Keet JRG 1973 Farmer questionnaire 'Tsais, farm, 240 km southeast of Walvis Bay, 152 km northwest to Maltahöhe. Means 'the day'. About the end of 1800, the Namas had a tribal on the farm ... The place was then reported, so 'the day of the battle'. Information from old Nama residents '. Krenz FK 1976 Farmer Note 'Tsees ╪ Kaubas = Tag (der) abreachnung'
'Tsais'.
