Huguis
The name is obviously old. In first instance, it is the name of a team, and then from a source to it or in it. At one time it was also a post office with telegraph service (DSWA series). The pan lies south of the Aminuis mission mail and just above Hugams. On the SWA Series 1966 Skin 2318 Leonardville it is entered as 'Hugus' at the 'Hugus Pan', also see Survey above. The element -1gui-s (the singing. Fern, - is here genus sign for the pan) is possible as Nama -1gui = bowel (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 140), an ingredient of many pannies, cfg. e.g. Konnes, sometimes because of a supposed agreement of the pan form with a bowel or stomach or simply for a description. Here are the reasons, we believe, the beautiful view of the pan, at Nama ǀ Hu = 'Einen Schonen Anblick Bieten' (Kr.- 19), or (because we have no certainty here) like Nama ǀ Hu- = 'Sammlung' (Kr.-r. 198), such as Christian. We do feel for 'beautiful touch of the pan that looks like a bowel', so about, otherwise 'PAN where met' - look Hugams.
