Hierdie bron in die Nossob le tussen leonardville en Hougasgeis. Die plase waar hierdie Ugub was, het tans familiename. Die ou naam is nie bewaar nie, ook nie in vertaalde vorm nie. Volgens dr Hahn is dit wel te verstaan as ǃu-(b) = 'Hammelkeule' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 372), of 'Weide(gang)' (Kr.-R. 372), met die -gu as mv. ml., of in verband met gu- = 'skaap'.
