The first component is like Namaǃ Uri = White, but the second member, appears to be the suction, not for 'river', despite what the cricke scores suggests. Schultze 1904-5 Anuk 159 says that Jab, like Hahn and voting, a 'Mittelgosse Vertigly IM Rivierbett (IST), in Der Das ... ablazy regenwaiter longere zita stagniert'. In the sense, it can be transferred to the river. The Uriab, or with an older skeleton, the Urikab, is a long river that runs out in the Auob of which it is the most important tributary. Kreft uses the ╪ (g) ab = 'plain' or 'vlei'. Sometimes it looks as if the 'White River' seems to be his name from the plain where he is indoors. Cfg. Uigab 2417.

In die sin kan dit op die rivier oorgedra word. Die Uriab, of met ’n ouer velaar, die Urikab, is ’n langerige rivier wat uitloop in die Auob waarvan dit die belangrikste sytak is.
