Achab

It was a major crossroads of roads at a pan, located north of the mission station aminue. In this place, several natives left them, even from elsewhere, so 'Bethschuans' (Kriegskarte) of Aminuis. Hahn's spelling method therefore gives: -xa- (-kha and -cha- to other two cardmen) meaning 'much, abundant', viz. at Namaǃ â- = settlement (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 24), 'vomited place'.

Op hierdie plek het verskeie inboorlinge hulle neergelaat, ook van elders, so 'Betschuanen' (Kriegskarte) van Aminuis. Hahn se spelwyse gee dus: -xa- (-kha- en -cha- by ander twee kaartmanne) wat beteken 'baie, volop aan', nl. by Nama ǃā- = nedersetting (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 24), 'Gehugryke plek'.
