ǂKhōǀnūs

Today, Bonebreak Farm No. 76, the tar road from Stampriet down to Dordais walk over the farm, still in the District Windhoek. Rev. Heider gives only the namanaam, also Hahn and Vice. Only on the Krikriekarte 1904 appears the Afrikaans name in brackets as an alternative name. Then in contrast to an undiscovered 'big leg break', a name that has disappeared. In our maps, Bonebreak (so spelled) appeared from 1910 without his Khoekhoian 'motherform' K (h) onus that disappeared, except in his Afrikaans translation. Also Bone Break No 152 on S 2819 CB is translated from Khoos, cf. Kowout. The ingredients here are Tkho- = 'der Knochen', and ǀ Nu- = 'Das Bein '' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW Resp. 249 and 302), in English Bone and Leg. The element' Break 'is not Expressed, according to the word parts preceded with the particular suction medicine, because 'break' is in Nama Khowa, Ikhowa, ǀǀ Khowa, each Schnalz as = K is also the connection between the parts for us. However, the meaning is fixed, 'bone break', situated at a fountain (apparently the -s of the Fern. Sing, which can signalize OA fountains / sources)
