eng The names of these branches in the upper of the Nossob are on the one hand the Uridomi or Witnossop, and on the other hand the Swart River, Blacknossop or, Original, Nudomnosop, literally 'Black Keelnossop': The 'Kohle' at Kreft is apparently overwritten error for 'Kehle'. The Swart River and Black Nossop in the works of English reporters such as Galton and Andersson) are therefore just a partial translation. 'Throat' for the riverbed, often comes in naming the Namas. Here is the color N.A.V. The sandy soil in the bed. The word 'throat' or '-domi' clearly has an anthropomorphic foundation. The throat with trachea and esophagus is seen as an off-site channel, a passage or run for the water, a stream bed, images for 'river'. 'Black throat' is exactly understanding as 'Swart River' at conversion in everyday terms.

'Keel' vir die rivierbedding kom meermale in naamgewing van die Namas voor. Hier is die kleur n.a.v. die sandgrond in die bedding. Die woord 'keel' of '-domi' het weer duidelik ’n antropomorfiese grondslag. Die keel met lugpyp en slukderm word gesien as ’n afvoerkanaal, ’n deurgang of deurloop vir die water, 'n stroombedding, beelde vir 'rivier'. 'Swartkeel' is presies te verstaan as 'Swartrivier' by omsetting in alledaagse terme.
