Say that it could have been a source name, the ǀǀ Gam- is without much doubt as Nama ǀǀ Gam (I) - = water, so that the mountain could obey its name apparently from the source , and then it will mean 'water plain' or 'front water', at -e- = face, plain, also front (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 60), applied to the mountain, located in Dist. Windhoek, southeast of the city.
