Die teenstelling met ander windstreke, bv. ’n Dudoabib-West, vind ons nie opgeteken nie. Die eerste lid spel Ponnig- haus 1931 Joernaal 6 as tus en identifiseer dit as Acacia dulcis, soos Krenz (vandag A. erubescens Oliv., vgl. Smith C 1966 CNSAP 567). Op bl. 16 noem Ponnighaus die tus 'n A. trispinosa., en Wiss HJ 1973 Botanische Mitt 3 verstaan onder tus die Acacia fleckii sowel as die A. Senegal. Die wisseling d- en t- is gewoon (vgl. 5 A 2 in TH A* 42), hier die du- naas ’n tu-, en in die naam -doa- naas -toa-, wat Krenz verklaar as versplintering. Die 'Plek (-bi-b) waar die versplinterde (toa-) soetdoringboom (tu-) staan'.
