Budack KFR 1979 Ethnologist Report of fieldwork 'ǀ Gamiroxas, an Inara field near root. Literally 'starry. I didn't have the opportunity to seek this Inaraveld during my recent visit to the Ikhuisb himself. It is claimed that there are always small white things on the inaraplants and drinks that look like small asterisks. It is apparently seeds of some plant. According to Mr Willy Giess, State Botanist in Windhoek, it may be seeds of the whistle (Phragmites).

Ek het nie kans gehad om hierdie Inaraveld tydens my onlangse besoek aan die IKhuiseb self op te soek nie. Daar word beweer dat ‘daar altyd klein wit goedjies op die Inaraplante en -ranke le wat soos klein sterretjies lyk’. Dit is blykbaar sade van een of ander plant. Volgens mnr Willy Giess, staatsbotanikus in Windhoek, kan dit moontlik sade van die fluitjiesriet (Phragmites australis) wees.
