In response to whether there are places in the area who still have Khoekhoian names, the above is the answer. The member 'Kudu' is apparently no longer valued as an old Khoekhoian Word, he is totally crowded by Xai and denationalized. IHOMMI = mountain, so that Xailhommi is literally the translated / original form of the current Kuduberg, farm No. 60, boundary to the Black-Nossob River, located south of Gobabis. There is also a 'KuduGerg' on S 2717 DB, farm No. 9, near Cha-Maize. Whether he has the same name history, we could not determine.

In antwoord op ’n vraag of daar plekke in die omgewing is wat nog hulle Khoekhoense name het, is bostaande die antwoord. Die lid 'Kudu-' word blykbaar nie meer as ’n ou Khoekhoense woord gewaardeer nie, hy is totaal verdring deur xai- en gedenasionaliseer. IHommi = berg, sodat Xailhommi letterlik die vertaalde/oorspronklike vorm is van die huidige Kuduberg, plaas nr 60, grensende aan die Swart-Nossobrivier, geleë suidelik van Gobabis. Daar is ook ’n 'Kuduberg' op S 2717 DB, plaas nr 9, naby Cha- maietes. Of hy dieselfde naamsgeskiedenis het, kon ons nie vasstel nie.
