ǃGâiǁgami

Looking waterǃ Gei ǀǀ Gami, like Namaǃ GAI = 'Gut, Angenehm' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 88), and ǀǀ gami = water, name given as opposed to brackish or salt water. This delicious water was farm No 295, Dist. Gobabis (situatable by reference to mentioned farms there), but named to Ripon, Altans No 295 in Dist. Gobabis is now the farm Ripon. Pastor Judt says that the sources of Augas (= bitter plain) had such bad water that the cattle were found blood disease (anthrax), and then goodwater had to be a fountain in paradise. The farms Lekkerwater 142-5 in Dist. Rehoboth probably also carries a name translated from Khoekhens.

Description
eng Looking waterǃ Gei ǀǀ Gami, like Namaǃ GAI = 'Gut, Angenehm' (Kr.- R. Rehoboth probably also carries a name translated from Khoekhens.
afr lekkerwater vertaal ǃGeiǀǀgami, soos Nama ǃgai = 'gut, angenehm' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 88), en ǀǀgami = water, naam gegee in teenstelling met brak- of soutwater. Hierdie lekkerwater was plaas nr 295, dist.
