Dordabis

The two nonsprekendes of Phylner connect the -dabis with the 'Brakbos', the whites with -dabes, -des, place of gathering, and then see the word for 'prayer', Nama ǀ Gore- [g- and D- is anglautende indeed interchangeably cf. 5 E 1], or Nama Doro- = 'Tonel'. Dr. Vedder apparently analyzes it as follows: Mrs. Franzius heard her statement from the Namas himself and was completely convinced of their accuracy, 'prayer'.

Description
eng The two nonsprekendes of Phylner connect the -dabis with the 'Brakbos', the whites with -dabes, -des, place of gathering, and then see the word for 'prayer', Nama ǀ Gore- [g- and D- is anglautende indeed interchangeably cf. 5 E 1], or Nama Doro- = 'Tonel'. Dr. Vedder apparently analyzes it as follows: Mrs. Franzius heard her statement from the Namas himself and was completely convinced of their accuracy, 'prayer'.
5 E 1], of Nama doro- = 'tontel'. Dr Vedder ontleed dit blykbaar soos volg: ǀgore = bid, (si)da = ons, en -bis plekbenoemende agter- voegsel. Mev. Franzius het haar verklaring van die Namas self gehoor en is heeltemal oortuig van die juistheid daarvan, 'Bidplek'.
