Uruganus

Farm No. 358, located Windhoek Wesses to the main road between Windhoek and Walvis Bay. Through the farm, a stream flows that is a tributary of the kuiseb. The farm gets its name from a stone in the stream, one can crawl under the stone, -iganu is nezetssel for 'door' (cf. Rest 1960 DNW 15), at Uru = 'Beschleichen, Aurbechen' (Kr.-R . 1969 NW 366).

afr Plaas nr 358, geleë wessuidwes van Windhoek af aan die hoofpad tussen Windhoek en Walvisbaai. Deur die plaas vloei ’n stroom wat ’n sytak van die Kuiseb is. Die plaas kry sy naam van 'n klip in die stroom, mens kan onder die klip deurkruip, -Iganu is nasetsel vir 'deur' (vgl. Rust 1960 DNW 15), by uru = 'beschleichen, bekriechen' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 366).
