Dubas

The river north to the east of Walvis Bay, direction from east to west of Ong. S 2215/2315, lay approximately between kuiseb and weak. The mountain will have his name of the river (it is the dubab), and the river gets it from the forest that grows along the sea. Hahn writes about the seafront area from above Cape Cross to the river 'Very Barren, Almost Without Vegetation Except (for) The Dubas Bush'. The botanical name couldn't fix us yet. The change d- and t- is lived, cf. 5 a 2.

Hahn skryf oor die seekantgebied daar van bokant Kaapkruis af tot by die rivier 'Very barren, almost without vegetation except (for) the Dubas Bush'. 5 A 2.
