We believe the '(South / North)' in the quotation refers to two farms, TW to Kurikaub Slid No. 30, and after Kurikaub Nord No. 31, both south of Otjimbingwe, as well as to the River Gurigaub flowing over the farms to the Swakop of which it is a tributary. The names are treated in th a ** 806-7. Interestingly, the oldest records quoted there are also the name with input 'Kur-U', since 1851 it was recorded as 'Kur-I-.' New views did not emerge, as we understand it.

Ons meen die '(suid/noord)' in die aanhaling verwys na twee plase, t.w. na Kurikaub Slid nr 30, en na Kurikaub Nord nr 31, albei suid van Otjimbingwe, asook na die rivier Gurigaub wat oor die plase vloei na die Swakop waarvan dit 'n sytak is. Die name is behandel in TH A** 806-7. Interessant is dat die oudste optekeninge wat daar aangehaal is, die naam ook skryf met inset 'Kur-u-', sedert 1851 is dit opgeteken as 'Kur-i-.' Nuwe gesigspunte het nie na vore gekom nie, soos ons dit verstaan.
