Ubukos, Ubakois, Ubakus, Ubukhoes
This place is Western from Otjimbingwe, in the reserve, district of Karibib. It convinces the difficulties with which a researcher sometimes does if he has just the recorded name before him. The first member appears as UBA around 1900, as UBU of about 1910. The second member becomes -kois, -khoes, kiss, food, -gos. With the form Ubakois before him, Mr Du Raan thinks eg. to -khoe-s = woman. And for the first part to U-Ha '= He. We want to assume that the second member has no sucker (cf. Kohler and Haacke), and that the first member was preceded by the cerebraphs. Thought, then, as Namaǃ UWU- = 'DAS EI' (Kr.-R. 1969 N. 374). To make the Member -K (H) o- (without suction consonant) sensible to make the efforts fairly speculative, for the time being at least.
