Neikhoes

This Nikhoes lies southeastern from Usakos. It is now a smaller farm No. 74, and by Horn the 'Neikhois River' (SWA series 1965 Skin Walvis Bay) that has the same name. In the same mountain complex, the 'Kaelberg' is west of Nikhoes. The member is clear, and is like Namaǃ Nae- = camel, with transfer also giraffe. The -khoe - is a parent form, it contains the vertebrate input, the KH, who no longer has 'neck'. In Nama is 'neck' todayǃ Au- (Rest 1960 DNW 44). In Old Cape, 'neck' still has the skeleton, eg. In the clumsy spelling of Quao, recorded from 1691 (Hott 399-400). Also Kora knows the form Ikx'aub for 'neck'. The exits of the Fern. Sing, indicate that the name was involved earlier on a fountain. 'Giraffe neckphone'.

In Nama is 'nek' vandag ǃau- (Rust 1960 DNW 44). 'Kameelperdnekfon- tein'.
