ǀKhunobes
Tunobis is one of the versions of the Dental Battle + K in ǀ K (h) Unobis, and according to the Scriptures it seems to the interchangeability of T and K-. Th Hahn 1879 is one of the firsts of the clapping sound. The place had three names, one for each of three language groups. The namanaam the first disappear of the cards, the Afrikaans still retains its name-giving function. This is the name of farm 867 and of the marshy places along the Rietfontein Omarumba. The Rietfontein block is located east and slightly north of Gobabis. We made a lot of effort to get the statement of ǀ Khunubes. It has been busy for years. We are faithful of life (we do not pick them up hereǃ) Have several suggestions. One wanted example. A bond search with 'Finger' (ǀ khunu-), another believes the name means 'no pity'. We have thought that there should be a connection with reed, eg. That Rietfontein must be a translation of ǀ K (h) Unubis, as practically, always observed in such cases, but we could not bind it both comprehensive as well as linguistically. That is why we treated the name in th a ** 1032 at a time around the arm, cf. Tounobis. Now Mr. Kariseb makes our suspicion true, and delivers the linguistic welding. The first member is like Nama ǀ Khunu = 'Sugen' (Rust 1960 DNW 51), namely, in this particular application, sucking water with a cane, T.w. from the fountain. The -s (sing, Fern.) Also indicate a fountain hereinafter. In the old days, Rietfontein was already a very important ear on the road to or from the ngamime. Linguistically fully discussed under Khunubes in this part.
