Die naam nie elders opgeteken gevind nie. Uit die verband is daar geen twyfel nie dat hier gepraat word oor Okangono, plaas nr 112, suidoos van Hochfeld. Die Namanaam is wel te verklaar soos by Krenz, indien dit naamlik ook topografies klop, en dan is dit 'Terugkykkloof', hoewel die suigklap by Vlermuis die naburige schnalz is. Vlermuis se -X- voor die -goas is nog die pre-lepsiusteken vir die palatale schnalz, vgl. TH A* 38 onder die stelsel van Vollmer.
