Dûǁnab Kaib

This is the old name of a large (Nama gei- [kai] = large, and -b, ml. Ekv., Here index of a mountain name) Mountain southwestern Otavi along the track to Otjiwarongo. According to SWA series 1976 Skin 1916 Tsumeb is the only large mountain that can correlate with this, the Eelefantenberg. The namanaam then lost. According to Krenz, the member is like Nama du = Acacia Sp., The member ǀǀ to = 'Fallen' (Kr.- R. 1969 NW 273), plus -B who can indize a mountain. Whether the Gei-B [Kai-B] says the mountain, the fall or the tree is large, depends on the involvement that we cannot determine. Cfg. also DudoAbib over first member.
