Die -be- is lokatiewe morfeem die -s (fern, sing.) hier meer bepaaldelik van 'n bron. Die eerste komponent kan ons nie met sekerheid identifiseer nie, miskien die 'Gladde, glyerige plek by die water', by Nama ╪kanu = 'glatt (sein)...ausrutschen' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 231).
