At this place, two periodic drinking places were apparently; With the Dental Battle, ǀ Gam 'Two' so we expect the two or plural here. The AMI [AM-MI] = Openings (actually 'mouths') are declared, or it can be conceived as 'double mouth' (cf. th a * 349)

’n Waterplek aan die pad van Otjikoto af, nie standhoudende water nie. Die naam kom nie voor op die SWA-reeks 1976 vel 1916 Tsumeb nie. Op hierdie plek was klaarblyklik twee periodieke drinkplekke; met die dentale slag beteken ǀgam 'twee', sodat ons die twee- of die meervoud hier verwag. Die ami [am-mi] = openings (eintlik 'monde') word so verklaar, of dit kan opgevat word as 'Dubbelmond' (vgl. TH A* 349)
