Die naam is betreklik oud en stam uit die tyd van jag op wild: moontlik hou die naam daarmee verband. Hoe ook al, wat die verklaring van ons segsliede steun, is die feit dat dr Hartmann dieselfde klapklanke gehoor het as wat hulle gebruik.
