We already dealt with the name in TH * 286 and given two statements, but we had to open the choice between them. Now we have more blessing, o.a. By the communication of main councilor leoperth who knows the place, and in that other cards can help us. Today, the farm name is spelled Chorab, No. 180, but the same place is spelled by Dr Hartmann 1904 card with his suction medklinker as 'Khorab', and with the prescription 'stainless'. The DSWA series 1912 also speaks of a 'Chorab-Pfad' and a 'Chorab-B (bad)', therefore the -B of the ML. EKV. The 'place (-B) where it rough, rocky (ǀ Khora) is'. This farm should not be confused with the equally significant Khorab No. 51 on 1917 AD.

Ons het die naam reeds in TH A* 286 behandel en daar twee verklarings gegee, maar ons moes die keuse daartussen ooplaat. Nou het ons meer se- kerheid, o.a. deur die mededeling van hoofraadslid luiperth wat die plek ken, en deurdat ander kaarte ons kan help. Vandag word die plaasnaam gespel Chorab, nr 180, maar dieselfde plek word deur dr Hartmann 1904 kaart met sy suigmedeklinker daarby gespel as 'ǀKhorab', en met die be- skrywing 'steinig'. Die DSWA-reeks 1912 praat hier ook van ’n 'Chorab- Pfad' en ’n 'Chorab-B(erg)', daarom wel die -b van die ml. ekv. Die 'Plek ( -b) waar dit rof, klipperig (ǀkhora) is'. Hierdie plaas moet nie verwar word met die gelykbetekenende Khorab nr 51 op 1917 AD nie.
