Nie te verwar met OOSIP en USIB nie, alwaar; die vraag van ’n verwantskap in betekenis staan egter nog. Ponnighaus 1931 Joernaal 6 37-8 gee die boom- naam in Nama op as ╪6b, 'n 'Flugelsamenbaum'. Dus: die 'Plek (-sib) waar die ╪o-bome staan', anders gesê, 'waar die koedoebos voorkom'. Die volksnaam kom nie voor in Smith CA 1966 CNSAP nie, en by horn het die C. apiculatum die volksname rooiblaar, -blad, -bos ens. (vgl. 589). Hoe ook al, mnr Freyer is ons beste gids hier.
