afr Verskeie plase en plekke met die naam as enkele of saamgestelde bestanddeel. Vgl. verder UEP en UIS. Hier is dit plaas nr 398, dist. Grootfontein, aan hoof- pad na Outjo en weswaarts van Otavi geleë, nie ooswaarts nie... maar dr Hartmann noem nog ’n ander 'ǀǀUib', eenders gespel, en ook 'n puts, nou op 1918. Hoe ook al, dit kan nie 'Rots, Klip' beteken nie, vanweë die suigkonsonant wat 'n lateraal is, wel is dit miskien soos Nama ǀǀui- = 'reich, -b - der Schatz' (Kr.-R. 1969 NW 371), 'Plek van Rykdom/Rykheid'?
